I am in highschool and i have never had a boyfriend.?

i am a freshman or now a sophmore and i have never had a boyfriend. iget compliments and stuff but no one ever asks me out. i am really shy and i dont like to talk to the people i dont really know. what should i do i need advice!!!!!!!
